pull the radio out, go the the dealership, give the radio the service department so they can check the serial # behind the radio, they will search the database and theyll give u the code. Oh yea be sure u have ur ID and proof of ownership with ya!

hey i lost my code and the dealer told me that they would have to replace the headunit because there is no way of retrieving the code.

so i ended up buying an aftermarket head unit and then 2 months later i finally found the code. i was about to sell it but now i cant find the damn code again

03CivicEX4Door... I have the same car and I replaced my HU a week ago....

Use THIS document first (steps 35-37) then pick up with step 4 on the other document:

You can ask your dealer for the code. However, you'll need the radio serial number before they can look up your code. You'll also need some documents (repair receipts, invoice, insurance paper, ...etc.) to prove that you've had this car for awhile and not look like it's been stolen. To get to the serial number, you'll mostly like need to remove the radio from the dash. Good luck!

You absolutely DO NOT need to remove the radio to obtain the serial code. Also the code sticker is not placed in any particular location on the vehicles. It is up to the dealer and the person doing the pre-delivery inspection whether or not to put a code sticker inside the vehicle somewhere. See attachment for how to obtain your radio serial number when it displays CODE.

I have a sticker in my glove box. I've heard there may also be a sticker on the underside of the trunk lid.

I guess these new cars have the S/N displayed on the radio. I'd not had the opportunity to use my radio code on my Civic. However, Hondas in the 90's did not display the S/N. One usually would need to take the radio out to look in the back to see the S/N. Well, I guess I'm too old to be up to date on these things.
