Well if your check engine light is one its probably because a the specifid service intervals on your odometer came up.

Does the Maintence req'd light blink when you start the car? or blink and then stay solid?

Try truning off your car

Turn it to II

Hold your trip reset button for 10 seconds

start your car with the button depressed.

A check engine light doesnt come on because of specified service intervals. It comes on because the ECU has detected a problem with the operating of the car. If there is a check engine light on, you need to find out what the code is.

Agressiveadam, you are talking about the maintenance required light. That is different. That light doesn require your car to act weird.
