my battery can hold a charge but i think the battery isn't charging while i'm driving, is it the alternator???

if pass load test the alternator should not drop below 13 volts...

why do you think your battary is not charging? Is the battary light on?

Get your handy dandy multi meter out and get rid of any static discharge. Check the battery.....if its below 12.45 volts then its bad. This is after you've charged it up......check all your connections between the alternator and the battery to make sure nothing is working loose. If you do this and the everything appears fine.....move on to the alternator.

i had the same problem with mine after it was parked for the winter it was the battery.

does the car die while running? If it dies 2 weeks later, then your battery cant hold a charge. You need to load test the battery. Charge it, then load test it. Apparently the battery is not ok if it dies after 2 weeks. But you need to get specific here.

How exactly are you testing this? Just because it can hold a charge doesn't mean the battery is good. You must get the battery load tested to determine if it has the capacity to start your car time after time. If it was your alternator, it would trigger a trouble light most of the time under common failure conditions (eg. brush, slip ring, commuator, stator failure).
