Angry rear dome light

tried searching... didnt help.. at all..

a while back, my rear dome light stopped working... didnt think much of it since i rarely (if ever) use it. i started changing all my interior lighting to blue (courtesy of ledautomotive.com) and decided to change my dome lights to white LED.

now, my rear dome light still doesnt work.. anyone know what might be wrong?

either a fuse, or you have it set to off position

Just to add to this - dome lights are not meant to take LED's cause of the way they fade out after the door is closed, as opposed to just being turned off right away. For some reason this kills LED's....I figured this out the hard way, having gone through 4 LED dome light bulbs in 10 minutes, ha ha.

I know this is from forever ago, but its kinda related. I have an EX Sedan and the dome light behind the sunroof doesn't work, it doesn't bother me that much, but the other day I was trying to look for something in the back seat and it would have helped to have that light. I tried replacing the bulb and I made sure that it was in the on position and it just doesn't work! This sounds stupid, but is it on its own fuse or something? I just don't know what else it could be. I know if I take it to Honda they'll charge me like $400 for it.

check your manual to see where the fuse is for the dome lights.. its more than likely that the fuse is blown..

its not going to be ONE fuse this just this dome light.. check the owners manual or helms if you have it...

it should be the fuse box under the dash

The circuit is provided +12 on the WHT/BLU wire on one side of bulb and grounded at the lamp assembly for "ON" or through the GRN/RED wire for "DOOR" on the other side of the bulb.

If the fuse was open none of the dome lights would work. Others are working ??

I would clean and tighten bulb connections as a start. Be careful not to short anything out it has a constant power source.

I didn't think that it could be fuse because all my other dome lights work. It just that one behind the sunroof. But I hook the clear plastic piece off and looked at and seemed fine, maybe I'll take the whole thing out and look at it.

Does your trunk light turn on if you open your trunk?
How about the little ring around your ignition cylinder?
