automatic window troubles
so, my window only goes halfway up now because it slipped out of the track. seemed easy to fix until i couldn't figure out how to get the door panel off....
i have a 99 civic.
am i that dumb... how does the door panel come off? i don't want to waste $400 to fix something that seems easy enough to do.

take the screws off that hold the door handle on. also, i think there is a screw in the "pocket" in the middle of the door...where most people end up putting change and stuff. start by pulling the bottom of the door panel off, it just snaps on and off. then, unsnap the sides of the door panel. once you have done this, you should be able to lift up and pull the door panel off. just remember, with hondas, its just a bunch of screws and clips.

Windows don't just fall off the track, something must have broken, came out of align or it's binding somewhere. Make sure once you have everything apart that you check for broken or bent parts. I've seen many windows "pop" out of the track only to pop it back in and a week later the window comes back off again.
My guess is the "ribbon" track has stripped out and you need to replace the regulator.
