Battery light blinking

Hi, I have a problem with my 2001 civic. The battery light is flashing "irregulary". Sometimes it does it for a couple of minutes and sometimes everyting seems OK. Everything in my car is working fine, no problem starting it, every electrical things seems to work fine.

Anyone have an idea about what could cause this?

Thank you

I think I know, but I'll check the book to make sure. Maybe in an hour or so. It either means the alternator (charging system) is bad or the battery.

Have the same problem with the blinking battery light. Had Autozone hook up battery tester. Test showed no output from alternator, check wiring. Wondering if your problem is fixed.

Yeah it has been fixed. Seems that the alternator wasn't doing is job right and was having some problem recharging. Weird since my car only have 26k!

Anyway they changed it with no charge!

Omg..I have the same problem right now with the battery light flashing like that. And I have 47k miles on my car...Damn now I gotta shell out like $350 for an alternator. Unreal. I've come to realize that even though its a Honda its like any other car when it comes to **** like this.
