Spark Plugs

Just wanted to know what kind of spark plugs will work best for a 01 civic ex with the 1.7. I personally want to use NGK plugs because the car is stock except for a K&N Filter. I was going to try to find the new iridum plugs because they worked really well in my other car.

i think there have been many posts about this before. you can search and find quite a bit about spark plugs and people's preferences.

i myself just used the cheap champion copper plugs and they work just fine (and are a hell of a lot cheaper - $1.50/piece) for my daily driving.

Just don't buy them from the Honda dealer - one dealer I went to wanted $17.25 EACH! AutoZone and Advance wanted like $10 bucks a piece. I finally changed my plugs for the first time and used Autolite Double Platinum - car had 99,000 miles.

Get the ngk iridiums and not the cheap v-power. The iridium IX is a very good plug, and I've been running fine with it for almost a year now.

sparkplugs.com has great service. I paid $27 for a set of 4 plugs. Just search for your car and it will give all the types that fit. Search for 01-02 civic to get all the choices.

stock # 6441
part # ZFR6FIX-11

Check at pepboys or oreilys if you have one. They should be about $7 a plug.
