F**K this bushing upgrade!!!

mother f**ker!! i hate this bushing upgrade!

first thing first........................

i got the bushing from CapYoda..........*happy*

the next day, i took of my center console......it was so easy that i was really really happy with it....

the problem begun..

as grey said, it's freakin hard to take out the bolt............and yes indeed....i got three of em out.....however.....................the fourth bolt, the upper right side.......was so freakin damn hard that i need to use a lot of power...........and suddenly, *crack*...............f**k!!! the freakin bolt broke! 2 cm still on the chassis!!!

ok........*calm*..............i jacked up the car........look from the bottom, there was 1 cm left....i tried to unscrew em after pouring some liquid wrench and WD-40.....NO GOOD.....

the next 2 days, i went to my mechanic, he jacked up the car....flame torch the nut.....and succesfully unscrew the bolt from the bottom of the car.....
however, the thread in the nut is now "busted".....

the f**king next thing is that....when i tried to tighten up the bolt + CapYoda's bushing at 16 ft/lb like Cap and grey said, I BROKE THE DAMN SHIFTER ASSEMBLY!!

anybody ever experience this kind of things???

I installed mine with zero problems. Took 15 minutes, and the bolts came right out.

No issues whatsoever.

The bushings just stiffen the shifter assemly. It gives you better "feel" when you shift. It's not mushy. No performance gain, just a good, positive shift feel. The stock bushings let the entire shifter box move around. Ugh! Good for granny's, but I want to positively feel when I slap the stick over and up for 5th gear, not guess at it.

Yeah, it's THE first mod I did to my car. I love it, but I do miss the older direct linkage tranny's honda had before. This cable BS is for the birds.

im the only one, eh?

well2.....the first thre bolts were fine......it was only the fourth one, which is located on the right upper side....somehow, it's rusted soooo badly.......

i bought one bolt from home depot, 8x1.25x40mm and succesfully thread that nut again....however, it shaved down the new bolt too...

anyway, the bolt's fine....now what i hate is about that crack.....................
damnit, probably im gonna change to revo now..
