Floor Mat Anchors

I was vacuuming my drivers side out when I noticed 2 holes in the carpet near the seat. I looked in the owner's manual and it said I am supposed to have floor mat anchors to hold the floor mat in place. I looked inside the holes in the carpet but there are no anchors... BTW the holes in the carpet match up with the holes in the floor mat. How come there are no anchors? Anyone else have this problem?

I have anchors, I have holes in my floor mats for the anchors to go in....for the record Honda anchors are the best ones out of any make of vehicle I've dealt with, it's just two posts not a stupid hook.

I had to go back to my dealer and ask for them after I bought the car. Your dealer should just give you some if you ask.

They should come packaged with genuine honda floor mats. It just keeps the mat in place by sliding in the holes.

just bug the dealer, they'll give it to you

i have only one hook because the dealer wouldnt let me have two for free...

btw, those hooks are neccessary..i have aftermarket winter floormats on top of to oem ones and they tend to slide under the gas pedal....

if the mat is under the gas pedal, i cant accelerate...

They wouldn't let you have two cheap a$$ hooks for free? I didn't even get the hooks from the same dealer I bought the car at and they were more than happy to give them to me. What cheap bastards. I agree, the hooks are great, combined with the fact that the mat is molded around the trunk/gas release, it's not going ANYWHERE.

Under the GAS PEDAL?
Forget it, what happened when the mat gets stuck under the brake....
That's why there is a LAW (yes a law) that says they have to provide you with anchors for your floor mats...
