Cars Freaking Out!! Need Help!!!
ok so i pulled up to a stop sign today and my car started to shake violently. i watch the rpms and they are plummeting, got down to like 500 from the usual 800-900 i idle at. then when i stepped on teh gas it just sat there, so i push further and finally it goes and everything goes back to normal. i drive a bit more thinking it was nothing then a few hours later im driving and i need to speed up, and i push down on the gas nothing, i push harder it kicks in. then on the way home the car seemed to be shaking more then usual. i called honda they said that its probably bad fuel injectors and to bring it in. a few questions, would it be ok to bring it to them if i have an air intake? and would this be covered under warranty? also, does their assessment over the phone seem correct?

Yup, bad news. And I would put back the stock intake before taking it in just to be safe. The dealer will be able to tell which code set off the CEL. If this just started happening, I doubt it's that idle problem alot of people have. And your car isn't stalling. Fuel is having trouble somewhere in the system, and it may be clogged injectors. Do you ever use fuel system cleaner like techron? That could be your problem.

There's about 100s of 7thgencivic owner who had the same problem... it was talked about here before, it seems like it does that when the weather's hot...
I too had a problem with it for a day... after that it never happened again... I changed my pulleys to unorthodox racing pulleys... i'm not sure if the heavy *** pulleys causing it or the fuel injectors... and it should be covered by the warranty, but let me know what's up, so I can get mine changed too...

Try the fuel system cleaner with techron. Get the whole system cleaner and not just for injectors. Then see what happens once you burn through the tank of gas.

I believe it goes off when the problem is fixed. But you could always pull the battery connection and let it reset. If the problem is still there, the light will come back though.
i had just filled my car up on friday and went for a drive before going to work, i was sitting at a red light and the engine started running rough like it had a dead cylinder, and the rpms were real low around 400-500, i had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running, and finally when the light was green i pulled off the road barely cuz there was a loss of power, i turned the car off for a few minutes and turned it back on and its was fine. so i put in some drygas to remove any moisture from the new gas i had gotten and so far it hasnt happened again.

i had the same problem for like 1 week. i dont know what happened but it stopped doing it eventaully. My check engine light came on also but the dealers are retarded and tried to blame this problem on my dc header and then my air fuel gauge and other stuff.

Dealership shouldn't bug you about an air intake..
I have air intake, headers, N2O, venom VCN-400, plus extras.
Burned up the synchros..took to dealership..they fixed it no charge.
broke front motor mount 2 months later...they fixed it no charge.
Had a ground loop short...they fixed it no charge.
everything can be fixed under warranty no matter what parts you have on your car.
as long as the aftermarket parts are not the cause of the problem. Dealership must prove it.
here's the law

yup all my stuff is being fixed under warranty. turned out i had a bad o2 sensor, the boot on my tie rod end was ripped so the ball joint went bad due to lack of grease (which i actually ripped it so
), lets see, the only thing im paying for is alignment. and they didnt say anything about my air intake or strut bar.
