Take it to your own garage and do half the stuff they list as "check or inspect" and do that yourself. Thats what I did. Save yourself the cash..

Take it to whoever you trust to undo 3 bolts and an oil filter. All you really gotta do is change the oil and the tranny fluid. If your plugs seem cruddy you can change them, and look at your air filter.
Check the coolant level by looking in the over flow tank to the right of the fan.
Thats really all you need to do.
All you need is :
4 Quarts of oil + Filter
2 Quarts of Tranny Fluid
4 spark plugs
Maybe some 50/50 coolant mix
An Air filter if you got the stock one
Thats really it.
I wouldn't give someone more than $80-$100 to do it all. Try and con a friend into helping you. Pay for parts and beer.

It's unlikely that the platinum spark plugs would need changing at 30k (they're supposed to last at least twice that long), but it wouldn't hurt to look at them, I guess.

Everything else Boiler said sounds about right.

2k2EXCOUPE will become famous soon enough
Auto tranny fluid needs to be changed at 30k? Seems REALLY early...also seems early to change spark plugs unless there is an issue.

I have a friend that works at a Honda Dealer in the service dept. and he got me the 30K service for around $200. I know about cars but I wasn't about to go wrenching with my car and possibly screw something up then I would be f*****.

Also it will look good when I try to sell my car and show the person that I had all of my oil changes and maintainance done at the dealer.

If you have the money, get it done at the dealer.

Auto may be 60... but manual is 30K for sure. I pulled the plugs too, they didn't look so nice... rather than mess around and try to figure them out, I just swapped them. Doubt it did much, but it wasn't all that expensive to get a set of Platinum +4s.

fyi, auto trannies need to have their fluid changed more often the manuals. about the 30k miles, you should always get in the habit of doing preventative maintence. changing fluids regualarly prevent more expensive problems from happening

oil and filter (if not done within 3k miles)
rotate tires (this can be done by you or a friend)
check air conditioning filters
replace engine air filter
replace spark plugs (single tip bosch platinum will do just fine)
flush radiator or engine block/radiator
change tranny fluid
check brake pads
