Rep Power: 0 looks like rust oozing out of my spark plug coils....
I got this rust coloured stain coming out of my coils....The one from the far left cylinder....My mechanic said it was becasue water got into it, but it seems so sealed that I strongly doubt it.
When I inspected that spart plug, the spart plug and the coil sleeve had the exact stain that was oozing outside the coil and what looked like burn marks after it was cleaned it off....and now I got this slight jerk around 2500RPM (if maintained at that RPM) in ever gear...
My car still runs smooth otherwise but its freaking me out.
anybody else have this problem or can help me out?
I think somethings leaking out like i dunno gas? oil?
Oh ya, my CEL came on too.....

Rep Power: 400 Have you ever changed the plugs?
If you never have, do so. The 110,000 mile spark plug thing is bullshit. Put some new plugs in and see what happens. Take a picture of this stain. Chances are the top of the engine got wet and some dirt and crud got washed out and settled around the base of the coil. Look in the coil's sleeve down in the head and see if there's any burn marks or discolorations.

Rep Power: 0 Oh.......Major burn marks and discoloration.... Its like bronze colour on the coil sleeve....have any idea what it could be?
As of now, all i've done was cleaned the coil sleeve and spark plug hole with a little throttle body cleaner.

Rep Power: 400 I'm tempted to think that either the coil or the plug went bad. That would explain the jerk.... either its not firing or its firing weakly. Bust out a multimeter, check the resistance of all 4 coils and see what the differences are. Also replace that plug and see if anything changes. Something might have just burnt out.

Rep Power: 400 If you go by the manual, 110K.
Everyone on here seems to find 25-30K is what you'll really get out of a set of plugs.
