Ok, my maitenence required light just came on and the only reason i can think of is cuz i need a oil change. I am waiting for my SF kit to arrive and i don't wanna have to drop the oil twice in 1 wk, so i was holding off. The thing is, i am only 100 miles over a 3,000 mile change and i have done no mods on it in over 1 yr and there is 40,000 miles on it.

My question is......will going over a oil change cause the maitenence required light to come on ?

Dude, you have been here for so long!! I really don't want to sound mean or belittling but by chance have you read your manual? The light goes on for you to get your oil changed. It comes on at 8k, around 16-17k, around 28k, etc. The manual tells you how to reset it.

BTW the manual suggests every 5k for oil changes, so i am sure you are good. 100 miles over 3000 isn't going to kill your car.

Read your manual it is all in there.
