Ticking Engine

I have this ticking noise coming from my engine ever since a month after i bought the car and that was like a year ago now. Ever since i put my exhaust and intake on it's gotten louder and at about 2500 RPM the person driving right next to me can hear it. I heard it's the valve adjustment or the wrist pins. Does anyone know what else it could be before i take my car back to honda to be looked at? Thanks

Could be fuel injectors.. they click also, this is normal. Try and find out where the noise is coming from. Not sure why it would be wrist pins making noise, never heard of that one.

yup, its probably your valves. its not cheap to get it adjusted tho, but there is a diy on this site for it.

I would have to say its your injectors over your valves.

to make sure, locate your injectors on the back of the fuel rail with the engine on.
take a long flathead screwdriver and touch the tim of it to the injector, then put your ear to the handle....you should be able to hear the clicking really good now and if it is in sync
with your original clicking you will know for sure it is your injectors.

Try some injector cleaner in your gas tank.

Every civic I've heard makes that noise. You should hear it coming from some jettas. Nearly twice as loud. It's normal so don't worry about it. Dealer will tell you the same.

I have the same noise. got louder when I installed the intake.. I guess that's why the original intake has so many boxes(baffles) on it.. and now they are out in the open so it is easier to hear them
