Question Has anyone changed the alternator yet ?

Well, i am curious to know this cuz by looking at it......it looks like it would be a big pain in the *** to do this. I am thinking bout upgrading to a high-output alternator....prolly will go with a ohio generator one. Mods feel free to move if this is in the wrong forum.

2001civ is an unknown quantity at this point
it's not a pain, just take the powersteering off first. gets a little messy because of the powersteering fluid but not bad. if you take that off first and take off the drivers side tire it is easy enough. I'd say about half a days work. Your biggest problem will probably be taking off the alternator pulley but if you have a pully remover its easy. just make sure you reconnect everything again nice and tight so your car doesn't die later on. and it's much easier with a second person.

Good luck
