My Civic chirps around any corner, especially in wet weather. Stupid Firestone FR690s that are worn more than halfway down after 11,000 miles.

Gee I wonder why your tires are wore down lease: I had almost 24,000 on my Firestones and they were barley worn. I know I could have put another 20,000 on them but my car was totalled.

why do you want it to chirp? so you can have accelerated tirewear?

if you want a car that chrips and peels out through first and 2nd, you should've got a RWD car with power, say.. a corvette. not a civic

My car is 100% stock, and 8,000 of my 12,000 miles are highway. I don't take corners hard and NEVER chirp/squeal/lay rubber/drive like an *** on purpose. Just crap tires, I suppose.

You posted earlier that your car chirps around corners all the time, so if you're not driving it hard then either your car needs a alignment or I'm confused as what you're talking about.

i can rip it in 1st and chirp in 2nd. but when i launch (which is rarely since i don't race), i do my best not to chirp... it's not good for the tranny and such..

i think it's 'cause you have auto though. haha (in nelson voice)

What do you want to chirp? WHat is the point? If your racing, you dont want to chirp. If you want to chirp, try increasing your octane, putting a octane booster in your fuel, and change your oil. If your doing evedrything right, you will chirp. If you dont, that YOUR doing something wrong.

I can chirp the hell out of second too easily in my ex 5-speed. It's annoying. And, I don't think it's the civic's massive power, but the GARBAGE stock tires, these things have 0 stick.
