New rattle showed up today with the cooler weather. This one is coming from the passanger side SRS panel on the top part of the front dash.

At first, I didn't know where it was coming from, then just to see what would happen I put my CD case up there and it stopped. So. . how do I fix this one?

It's the airbag panel so I can't really put something in there like silicon or fatmat, because I don't want to disrupt the deployment of the thing in the event of a crash, not to mention you don't need any more crap flying at you when the air bag is coming that fast. Can I just replace that peice of the dash? Or would it require an entire new upper section of the dash?

Lots of new rattles wil pop up. Some you just have to live with.

I'm also hearing a creaking sound coming from that same area. It started just after I installed my coilovers. Just turn up the radio I guess.

Yeah .. I'll crank up the radio for now to help me deal with it. . I might try some plastic lubrication (like WD40) to see if that'll get rid of it. If not then I'll have to live with it, unless I feel like buying a new dash. . .

squirt some silicone sealant under there....that should fix it an be less
than 5 bucks

Well the silicon would work, but this is the air bag panel . .I don't want to seal that off.

good luck. as u can see nobody really has any clear and definitiive answers. some rattles are more trouble then they are worth to get rid of. if u figure this one out please let us know
