Hey guys help me out here. When I start going from a stop whether im turning or going straight I hear a weird cranking or knocking sound coming from the engine. But once i get past 2nd gear i dont hear it anymore. I can feel it at the gas pedal and it does seem to keep me from speeding up as quick as i use too. This has been going on for about a month and I have search all over for answers but have yet to find any. I cant take it to the dealer because my warranty is gone. O, i have a 2001 lx sedan m/t. I do have an aem sri but i know for a fact it is not hitting my cruise control. Please help me out. thanks

I used to have an AEM and it vibrated against the tranny (where the filter sits). I put some cloth underneath and it went away.

i dont think the filter itself will make a noise as loud as this noise im hearing but i will check it out

I have the same problem and I can feel that the noise probably coming from the steel whenever turn left or right, but weird that stepping the gas padel the noise still there, (I have a koni yellow with neuspeed sport spring), anyone please help me out!
