could this be a lemon?
could this be a lemon?
my sister has a 2002 Acura 3.2 TL, she is leasing the car since 2001 and i know it will be hard to believe, but the car has givin her a shitload of problems. at about 3k miles, she had a major probel with her steering where when she pressed the break the steering wheel shook very very hard, turned out something cracked ad need to be replaced, about $1000 was the cost but under warrenty of course. as the miles kept rolling little **** happened like power windows not working, stereo not working, typical american car problems. last week at 25k miles her A/C stops blowing cold air. she car is getting the A/C replaced right now under warrenty of course. do u guys think it could be a lemon cuz lets not forget that its a Acura. she said this car reminded her of having her chevy berreta 10 years ago

normally a lemon is a car that can't be fixed, if you keep having the same problems after its been repaired more than once. If the dealer fixes problems under warrenty and the problem doesn't come back then its not a lemon.
yea, the problem isnt the same each time, somethign happens to different parts every time. but anyway, this whole thing kinda ruined my confidence with Honda. and because this is an Acura, thats even worse. cars' value is 30 grand and this much BS is terrible

People have such high expectations of honda that they get the illusion that nothing could possibly go wrong.
Honda does put out some bad cars like every other manufacturer. Your sister just got some bad luck and ended up with one of them.

The problem with the brakes isnt't major -- in fact, it's quite normal. What happens is, under high heat, the rotors will start to warp, causing an uneven surface.. the vibrating steering wheel while braking will happen if you don't resurface your rotors every so often, As far as power windows not working, could be sticky inside the window switch mechanism. Hondas aren't perfect, and you can't say "typical American car problems". My civic has had problems that my friends dont have with their OLDER american cars.
