Broken CV Joiint

My car makes a strange clicking noise when turning. My sister just returned my car to me after taking it to visit my father in arizona. About 2,000 mile trip, and I was informed that it was a broken CV Joint. What is that exactly, what should I do to fix it. And how much will it cost approximately.

You can check for coupe parts and prices here:

Look for outer/inner joint ... under the steering or suspension section I think. It's around $100-120 if I'm not mistaken. Add around another $75 for 1 hour of labor if it's at a Honda dealership (may take longer than an hour though).

Best thing to do is take it in for a written estimate.

Only if he has 90,000 miles or so on it, CV Joints should last more than a few years reguardless. If its still under warrenty its covered.

****... I read it too fast. I'm thinking the boot. I know those aren't covered. The joints... yeah. They ought to take care of that.
