Weird noises

Whenever I take a farily sharp corner or brake fairly hard, there is a weird crunching sound coming from the rear of the car... I have no idea what it is... It sounds kinda similar to the crunching sound when you compact wet snow. The car is really new.. 2003 civic Si (ex) with 14,000 kms on it. Any idea what this sound could be?

Sometimes I get a metallic groaning sound somewhere towards the rear when I make turns at slow speed... probably something need lubing somewhere. If your struts are fine (and mine were checked out) I wouldn't worry about it.

Sounds like an absolutely normal functionning of your ABS brake system.

If you slam the brakes to the point where you may block your rear wheels, the ABS will be releasing/re-applying the brakes many times a second to prevent a (the) wheel(s) from loosing its adherence on the pavement.

No, it's definatly not normal brake functions.. It's occurs during normal driving.. I know i said "fairly hard" but it's actually not. Basically normal driving and happens during any shift of motion in the car.. whether that be a corner, acceleration, or braking.
