I have a 2001 civic ex m/t and while driving at speed (about 70-75) with the cruise control on, I get a pause every twenty seconds or so. It is almost like someone turned off the cruise control, but the pause is only about a second at most. I checked the tach to see if my rpm's drop and they don't. It also happens when I am just driving without cruise ata constant pace past seventy miles an hour. The only mod I have is an Injen CAI and the car is basically new. I only have 16K miles on it and I was wondering if anyone had similiar problems and if so, how do I fix it? Is it normal? What is it? Anyone?

You should get honda to check it. Mine works just fine and I have the same model and year. I have 36800 miles on mine.

Sounds like dirty fuel injectors.

I don't know how they work in these cars, but in my old car, I lost the cruise cuz the vacuum line to it went. And it did pretty much the same thing, only the cruise would shut off completely.
I don't know that dirty injectors would do it, cuz if it was that, it would probably studder all the time. I would have it looked at. It almost sounds like the computer is misfiring a cylinder or having trouble keeping the engine at a constant speed.

Dirty fuel injectors would do that with or without cruise control on. But bring it to honda to have them put it to the computer.
