I’ve been having this issue for the past month and a bit where my battery light would just suddenly pop up on my dash. I’ve changed the battery and I’ve changed the alternator twice (as one of them I purchased was defective and wasn’t charging properly). After each part was changed, the light would turn off for a while then come back on a few days later.

It had stopped for almost 2 weeks since the last part was changed but now it’s back again. This time I feel a weird jerky feeling right before it comes on, which never happened before. I’ve tried different mechanics and they each aren’t quite sure what could be causing this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Side note: had the car for almost 4yrs and it just hit 240km. I take good care of my car as it is my main source of transportation due to my job.

What year exactly?

ELD could be going bad if it has one.

belt has been replaced? Could be slipping.

It’s 2013 Civic Lx Auto Trans. I previously changed the belt a few months back.

Looks like it has an ELD and you can remove it to test if it’s bad or not.
