Front passenger window regulator issue
Front passenger window regulator issue
Hello, I have a 2009 Civic DX-G 4 dr. The front passenger window regulator died the other week with the window fully lowered and unable to raise the window. Honda was asking $499 for the part so I found it on Amazon for $50 lol. Got the part installed with no issues. Went to roll up with window and nothing. I can LOWER the window which tells me the new regulator works (at least in one direction). I can activate the window from the main driver side as well as the passenger side switches but nothing will roll the window up. Driver side switch will roll down and up the other three windows with no issues. I’m guessing I’m going to searching for an electrical problem? I have no experience with any sort of electrical issues outside of generic battery replacement. Any suggestions on what tools will I need and what/where to test would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Front passenger window regulator issue
I would guess broken wires in the driver door harness. They tend to get weak and break from the constant bending every time the door opens/closes. Really, you'll need a meter to figure out exactly what's wrong.
