UO115 error codes / pcm electrical issues

old post: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/359-electrical/387665-intermittent-instrument-cluster-gauges-failure-climate-control-issues.html#post4811608

last post tldr: instrument cluster malfunction and ac trouble when pcm is not operating in vehicle, engine has no issues and vehicle operates normally just no speedometer or compressor functionality. shop said they didn’t see any loose connections last time. Everything is temporarily fully operable if I bang the top of dash.

I had a friend come by with a code reader to pull specific codes from the vehicle and it would not read for the longest and uo115 was one of them. https://www.obd-codes.com/u0115 , causing me to believe the pcm is likely the trouble.

i have a junkyard pcm in my trunk but as far as replacing it goes I cannot afford the dealership charging $1000 to install it and flash it for me.

could it just be a faulty wire or connection in the vehicle somewhere behind the dash? Or is replacing the pcm my only option.

I really just want help with my car because these issues are way too advanced and complicated beyond my knowledge. I’m not sure what to do, I appreciate any help.
