Fuse 29 and 31 Parasitic draw
Fuse 29 and 31 Parasitic draw
Hi,
I’m looking for help with a parasitic draw.
My mothers 2014 civic EX has a 100-120 mA draw across fuse 29 labeled (backup)
and inside under the dash across fuse 31 labeled (SMART).
It’s enough that if she doesn’t start it every day then it’ll drain the battery.
I had the battery replaced twice and the alternator replaced.
I even took it to Honda where they told me that nothing was wrong and that she just doesn’t drive it enough.
It was then that I decided to try to track it down myself.
I’ve latched the hood and door and let everything go to sleep before trying to track it down and these are the only draws I can find.
I believe fuse 31 goes to the push button start but I’m not positive. I was hoping it was a relay somewhere stuck open but I’m having trouble finding any info on them or any wiring schematics.
I’d appreciate any help I could get.
Thanks

Re: Fuse 29 and 31 Parasitic draw
I think a couple people have reported issues with the driver's door handle because of the smart unlock (or whatever it's called)
