Question about light latch on Honda civic 2013

Hello,

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to change the daylight running lights (it burned out) on my honda civic 2013. There is a metal latch connected to this red wire (above the black wire) and I cannot get the wire/light out in order to replace it. Does anyone know how to get the latch open so I can change the DRL? Thank you so much!

There's a little tab that the wire is hooked under. Push the wire towards the front of the car and you should be able to unhook it

Re: Question about light latch on Honda civic 2013

you want to change the bulb, not the DRL.
DRL is a system that turn your high beams on as soon as car is turned on and the lights will be at half power (so it will not blind other drivers, but make your car more visible during the day)

i use a small screwdriver to move the retaining wires away on my car

to clarify: push the retainer wire in (toward the bulb), then outward, and it should release. Repeat for the other side

No wonder when I searched DRL bulbs nothing came up. Thank you for teaching me!
