2007 Civic LX ELD location

Yeah, so....
My daughter just bought a 2007 Civic LX.
The CEL is on and the code that comes up is for the ELD and MAF sensor.
Before replacing the MAF (It appears that its already been replaced because there is an old one in the trunk) , I want to fix the ELD issue.
I went to Honda and ordered the part, standard looking, just like they are supposed to look.
I lift the hood and look for the Fuse Box and find this.....

I can't find the ELD in there.

So I found this and its the same Fuse Box as in THIS Civic. I'm hoping this is just a stock picture & doesn't truly represent the CR-V fuse Box.
If it is the Fuse Box for the CR-V, Is it also the Fuse Box for the Civic ??

This is the engine compartment...

Where is the ELD supposed to be ??
I've seen the YouTube videos on how to replace the ELD, However, I am going a little insane trying to figure this one out. Because it looks nothing like the videos portray it to be.

I am a very capable Mechanic, worked at a ford dealership as a mechanic.

Thanks in advance.

Found it in between the bottom and top, obviously. Kind of a PITA but, It's in there after you separate the two and pull all the screws from the main fuses. you can leave the little fuses & relays in.

Be cautious to get all the pins back in place.

Under the cover on the Bottom.

With the Plug out of the ELD

New Problem with ELD & other... 07 Civic, Please advise...

Ok, so I just replaced the ELD on the 07, went to the parts store got the code reader & checked codes. P1298 was still there.

Erased the codes & tested again. ELD & MAF are still showing.

Just for fun I erased the codes and tested for a third time, Once again those same codes came back up.

What else could it be ? PCM or programming of the PCM ??
Altenator (not thinking that but you never know)

ALSO.... At 3500rpm the car is lurching like the older cars with the speed governors on it. Not sure what that could be unless the MAF has something to do with that.

I've got a month to figure this out before we have to get the plates on it and have it pass emissions. (They won't pass it with a CEL on)

The ELD is OEM, not too sure about the MAF though. I doubt they (previous owners) paid over $200 for that part.

Re: 2007 Civic LX ELD location

could try grabbing one from a scrapyard, or clean the old one with maf cleaner, throw it in and see what happens,
also if the car sat around before you bought it mice/squirrels could've chewed on wires

From what I was told, The car had been in an accident and he replaced the "doghouse" on it. Not sure if that could get to the wires needed to interfere with these particular components. Maybe the shock from the accident ?!

Re: 2007 Civic LX ELD location

accident may have stretched/broken/pinched wires

dog house to me is the engine cover on like a full size van

hopefully there's no other underlying issues from the accident.

Doghouse would be both fenders, hood, grill, bumper. All the encompassing parts that cover the front end and engine. At least in his eyes.

I'll start chasing wires & looking for issues.

Thank you for the input, It's much appreciated !!!

I believe there was a fuse that was bad, however it wasn't a typical fuse. I just honestly can't remember.
Check all your grounds as well.
