2013 Honda Civic EX-L. ~130K miles
I had a dragging drivers side rear brake due to a previous owner’s failure to adequately lubricate the caliper slide pins. I replaced rear calipers and shoes both sides. Now I cannot get the handbrake the adequately engage. I’ve adjust it to the full length of the screw and it still doesn’t grab enough to hold the car on a moderate hill. Also the t-pivot at the hand brake handle is canted. See pics
Is there any other adjustment that can be made? Have I done something wrong? Thanks for anyone that can help.
I once had a rear caliper that refused to engage the ratchet mechanism for the park brake. Caused a mushy pedal feel and a park brake that didn't work. Does the brake pedal feel normal when driving? Can you tell if both rear brakes are working?
