2009 Civic SI Permanent ABS DTC (56-1) (61-1) (83-19) (86-1)
2009 Civic SI Permanent ABS DTC (56-1) (61-1) (83-19) (86-1)
I just bought a new scanner which shows more than your basic scanners and I realize I have these perm codes I never even knew were there because they do not trip any check engine lights. I am slowly trying to diagnose and repair whatever sensors are causing this. This is the first of a few codes I will be researching. The car has no issues regarding the brakes I am just trying to get all these codes slowly removed/repaired. Any tips on what to look into would be greatly appreciated.\
Codes under ABS tab are-
56-1 Initial VIG FET Stuck off
61-1 Modulator Control Unit Initial IG Low Voltage
83-19 ECM/PCM Relation failure
86-1 F-can Bus-Off Malfunction
All listed as permanent codes. Thanks again for any input

If the light isn't on and the car functions normally i wouldn't worry about it.
reset them and see if they come back if you're really worried

They dont reset its a permanent code. Not worried but dont want to wait til it pops a check engine light and starts causing issues before I look into it.

You can do a hard reset by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. I know you used to touch the positive and negative terminals together at some point - not sure what the full procedure is now. That should clear them.
