2010 LXS installed new front brakes today!
So , this is the second time I am removing and replacing the front rotors and pads. I changed out the OEMs at 35 k miles and installed a Z23 Powerstop kit. This lasted 50k miles and were it not for the drivers side inner pad wearing down to the metal ( there was about 2mm left on the other pads) I could have had some more miles but I am pleased with the mileage obtained (4 years) . I replaced the brakes with the same kit again. This, in addition to the pads and rotors, included all metal hardware new caliper pin boots, lubricant and rubber collar for one of the pins.
I took the time to inspect the rear drums and shoes as there are 85750 miles on this car. The thinnest shoe of all four had a depth of just under 2mm so I elected to keep going , maybe to the end of the year before I change these out. I obtained a Z23 Powerstop kit for this as well.
Caliper pin ( 12 mm) torque........24ft/lbs
Caliper bolts (17mm) torque........80ft/lbs
Cheers
