2006 civic but general brake bleeding question
2006 civic but general brake bleeding question
Can you bleed both rear brakes one day, Then bleed the front two the next day?
reason is because I replaced pads disks and calipers for both rear brakes one day and bled both rear. Then I was going to bleed the front two same day right away same time but stripped (broke off the head) of the bleeder valve on front passenger caliper so I stopped and didn’t bleed the front two brakes. Next day I am going to replace pads disks and calipers for the front now and then bleed them.
so my question is should I bleed the rears again then do the fronts? Or can I just bleed the fronts because I already did the rears yesterday?
thanks a bunch

Re: 2006 civic but general brake bleeding question
You should be able to bleed all 4 in 30 minutes, with a friend.
But you need to fallow the bleed order for your car to make sure any air pockets, don't move back into a line you already bleed.
...........
Fast bleed:
-use the box end of a wrench on the bleeder valve
-place a small, clear tube on the brake bleeder valve which enters a container, with a small amount of brake fluid in the bottom. Make sure the clear tube is always submerged.
-open the bleeder
-have your friend continuously pump the brake until the fluid looks new and has almost no bubbles.
-close bleeder valve
-top up reservoir
-with bleeder closed, get your friend to pump the brake 20 times. Yell something to let them know you want them to slowly push the pedal down. At thi point open the bleeder for 0.5 seconds.
-then have them pump 20 times, and crack the bleeder open again; and repeat until that line has no more bubbles.
-repeat for all four corners
