I have a honda civic with the paddle shifters and the transmission is acting up after scanning it I got 4 codes , so I was wondering if I could just swap the transmission with one from a honda civic that don't have the paddle shifters?? Let me know of that's going to work because I can't find a fix for it ...
take to a shop first, who knows if it will work? could be something simple as well.
Is winter where you are? Rodents tend to go in the engine bay (warmer) and chew wires while they nest there
or salt/humidity messing with your wiring
I have tried 3 different shops already and the all are asking me to buy a rebuild kit ..I leave in the Caribbean it's not cold out here.. we also checked the wiring harness to make sure it didn't break but it turned out ok
the controls for paddle shifter can be different than the normal trans, you might need to change the PUC as well, and that is costly too
ABs and BCM also indicates electrical or electronics issues. Is your battery good? are your battery connections and grounds good? remove them clean and test again
The battery is fine I checked it. the car has no problem starting plus I have a voltage meter in the cigarette light that reads 13.9 when the car is runing and 12.8 when it off .. so I really don't know what's going with the car
