Rep Power: 0 Car doesn't like aftermarket coils?
Hi, '06 ex manual.trans. Car lost power, shaking, and went into safe mode. Found a bad coil, replaced with a (correct for the car) aftermarket. Car ran great for 50 miles. Parked it. Next morning on first start up:, no power, shaking, safe mode. Bad coil again but it was the new one. Replaced with another brand (correct for the car) aftermarket. Ran about 50 miles fine, then I noticed power drop and some shaking. Not complete loss and didn't go into safe mode. Got home just now and parked it.
If it turns out to be the new new aftermarket coil; what is going on? and why is it eating aftermarket coils?
thanks.

don't know about coils, but sensors, honda no like aftermarket. like camshaft positions, crankshaft position, etc, we see in here almost weekly cases
something on programming is my guess, tolerances for electronics are especially tight for hondas
at first, aftermarket sounds cheaper, but if they don't work after a while and you are in the 4th, 5th... well, i would go with aftermarket
