I am in the market for a 9th gen Honda Civic si. The other day I went to go look at one and the valve cover had this rust under the paint. Is this a problem or could it cause more problems in the future, for example like would the engine components be rusted out or is the valve cover weak. This car has 47k miles so before I decide to continue in the purchasing process I want to know if this is something I should be worried about. Also I live in the NY.
The valve cover is aluminum so it's not rust, just paint coming off. 3-4 years ago my brother bought a '15 Si with like 20k miles, valve cover had some of that on it already. A few months ago he sanding it down and repainted (he went with red). Disregard the supercharger
