valve cover smoke

valve cover smoke i took out the valve cover on my 02 civic to paint it, put it back on a few days later then when i turned the engine on a little bit of smoke comes out not sure why that is?? anybody have an idea why that can be?

You probably bent all your valves, thats why you shouldnt mess with the valve cover.
no im kidding its probably the paint burning off, what kind of paint did you use?
