Car acts like it’s running out of gas

I have looked all over the internet and done what I know how to do. 2013 Honda Civic ex. Car was running fine, one day after driving 20 miles it just stalled. Would crank but wouldn’t start. Had it towed home. If it sits for a few hours it will start right up and run, but within 5 seconds sputter and die then will crank but not start. Will start again if I let it sit then die again. Every fuse is good, pulled the fuel pump, tank is clean fuel pump primes and runs. Haven’t got a fuel pressure gauge yet. Can hear relay click and pump prime when ignition is turned on, tried running with fuel cap off doesn’t work. No codes or lights on the dash. Any ideas? Totally lost.

When it’s running it sounds great, if the timing jumped wouldn’t it sound awful or misfire?

R18 engine has a Chain. Seriously doubt it jumped.
Check for codes anyway. even though the engine light wasn't on
Data list capable scanner can be more valuable than you know
Fuel pressure?
Is it just out of gas?
Immobilizer problem? (check warning light areas for flashing green key symbol activity, compare to owners manual descriptions)
Um......
Did someone touch the air filter box? Dies it have a cheapo filter in it?
Check if there's a chunk of garbage or insect caught inside the MAF sensor. A stupid fly can actually stop an entire car.

Leave MAF sensor unplugged and start engine......see if it runs better, or worse

Think plugged cat or exhaust restriction? Completely remove the top oxygen sensor and see if it runs any better. (the hole is big enough to let the engine idle as long as you want to hear the noise)

Did it run perfect the last time it was driven? Did it run poorly? (i can't read lol)
