Gas leak

Hello.

I’ve got a 2010 Honda Civic hybrid. It’s been having a gas leak where the filler neck meets the gas tank. Right where it’s sealed. I called the dealer and they said they don’t sell the gasket that goes between. I would have to buy a gas tank assembly. He recommended to just put some sealant around it. I tried a sealer resistant to gas and it was ineffective. I tried epoxy putty for gas tanks and it didn’t work either. Any thought on this? Does anyone know where I can get the gasket or should I just go to a junk yard and get a gas tank assembly?

thanks,

Jared

Re: Gas leak

Maybe replacing it can fix the problem. I couldn't find any alternative way. Sorry.
