Rep Power: 0 Hmmm...I got a car care kit as a gift, and it's from Turtle Wax (carnuba). Seems like it works ok? But I notice Turtle Wax has a bad reputation on these forums, whats up with that? Is it doing some type of damage? What would be a better replacement with carnuba wax?

Rep Power: 0 Meguire's Gold Class. It works great. When you put in on in the spring, you just gotta make sure its a pretty warm day or you'll never get that ish off of your car.

Rep Power: 0 Zaino here too. I got some as a gift back when I owned my S2000 (black). I tried a few other things including Mothers, Meguairs 3 step and their Gold Class, and the Zaino... I had hard water, so you basically had to wax the car each time you washed it. What I found was that Meguiars made the car darker (oil) but that only lasted until you got the car wet. The Zaino didn't make the car as dark, but it lasted longer and best of all you can wax EVERYTHING with Zaino -- no white residue to make your emblems look bad, etc...

Rep Power: 0 I personally don't like using Meguiars or Mothers. I used to use them both all the time and they were good for your average auto parts store wax and polish. But since I started detailing my own cars Ihave been using Griot's Garage products and love them. Griot's I still use meguirs and mothers when I do other peoples cars just for a quick shine but I love the way Griot shines.

Rep Power: 0 You know, I am one of those guys that has a few shelves full of all sorts of car care products. If I see a new wax, polish, interior protectant, you name it, I have to try it. I have tried expensive stuff and cheap stuff and medicore stuff. In my experience, the expensive stuff is usually just that, expensive.
I have found that meguir's polish in the tan bottle and their gold class wax to be excellent products and shine like a ****. However, a cheap bottle of nu-finish shines just about as well and last forever. I love nu-finish and have used it for a long time. I waxed my wife's car with it back in July and it makes me jealous everytime the sun reflects off of it and the **** still beads! Best of all, it's like 4 bucks a bottle.
