Foul chemical smell after Honda did an engine shampoo

Hi everyone. I decided to create an account on here seeking some help from this community. My car Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring 2018 Sonic Grey Pearl

In October I went to get an oil change at Ideal Honda. It was my first time there. It has been a year since I got my 1st car. I asked Ideal Honda for an engine shampoo. It was like $50 for the service. Afterwards I notice my engine was covered in the engine shine/protector. It was like 2cm of the liquid still freshly sprayed on my engine. They sprayed it everywhere and return my car back to me. Worst part they spray that $*** on the actual engine and when the engine gets hot, it burns the fume in the air. I thought to my self the smell and the liquid would go away after I drive it off for a few hours. It is now December 24 and the smell is still there. I have hose my engine down 3 times now and had Ideal Honda do another engine shampoo but this time without the engine shine/protector.

In the summer I didn't mind it as much as I could open the window but it's cold now, and I need heat, and when I turn on the heat, that's when the smell starts coming in. The smell wasn't as bad as it was a couple weeks ago because I hose my engine down. Did my own engine clean.

The smell gives me a headache and stuffy nose. I was wondering if anyone can give me tips to remove the smell. All I used was some degreaser, a bucket of water and dish soap and a garden hose. Ideal Honda really **** around with my car. The manager there offered me a reimbursement for the cleaning and detailing supplies I said I would buy to rectify the ignorance of the apprentice there.

Also when Ideal Honda did the engine shampoo the second time, my car was freshly drove to their shop, and the engine was very hot, and they hose it down still, and my car was on the whole time. Would that cause problems to my engine? They say it's made of aluminium so it wouldn't warp and everything would be fine.
