Stripping the wax

hey guys im about to wax and wash my car, but i want to strip the old wax off whats the correct way to do it? I heard using dishwashing soap + hot water does the job please let me know, i also heard that ammonia will do the same..

Just use some dishwashing liquid soap and water from the hose like normal. Never heard of using amonia, I don't think that would be a good idea. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

Where I work, we use 3M remove all. It strips the wax right off. You can also use a Body Prep solution. I recomend you wash the car after though. Hope this helps someone.

To strip the wax off just use the dawn dishwashing soap. I have been using this wax that my pops has using on his S2000 and it is the easiest and best wax I have ever used! I say wax but it is really a polish here is the link . The polish last a long time and it only took me an hour to do! ZainoBros Polish

don't use water that is too hot otherwise it will hurt you car, especially if it is cold outside. Can warp wheels, cause problems in paint, brake probs, just not a good idea. Stick with good old fashio soap and water.
