dashboard UV protectant
dashboard UV protectant
what do you guys use for your dashboards to prevent them from cracking, lifting, or fading? i know that honda civics aren't known for their dashboards getting damaged but i was wondering what is the best dashboard protectant on the market. i use black magic but i've never used it on my dashboard i'm about to detail the inside and i love the black magic brand but i'm wondering if their vinyl, leather, and rubber liquid is a good protectant for the dashboard. what do you guys think?

I hate anything thats made by Black Magic. I have had nothing but poor results and trouble from any of their products. This is what I use.

^^yeah 303 is great but very expensive
...i used to buy it because strauss near me used to to sell the 16oz bottles for $5 instead of the list price of $12
...i bot like 8 bottle and just now im finishing my last bottle..i have used 8 bottle since i had my car which is bout 3 years so this stuff lasts
..i use it for tires, interior, motor, weatherstripping..i also detail on the side...but i cant justify spending almost $60 for a gallon
...depending on how serious you are bout detailing..give meguiars silicone free dressing a try..at $30 a gallon it has uv protectants, smells great and is cheap

303 protectant. a lot of other products on the market have things in them which will make your dash look nice and shiny.. but they really are bad for your dash.

i used turtle wax platinum protectant. big mistake. that stuff is so shiny and after 3 months it still lights up the glare on sunny days. once it fades (hopefully soon) i'm not doing that again.

thats what happened to me with armorall dash wipes. I just use a damp rag and clean off my dashboard and use a windshield cover on sunny days.
