Stuff that prevents rust ?

Have a dent from the crease of my trunk running about two inches inward, with the metal exposed, and to the left just the edge of the rear quarter panel where the edge of the trunk meets the quarter panel, and ive read that if there is a trunk dent along the crease that its almost impossible to fix, so i was planning on getting a CF trunk, but until then, is there any solution, or paste that will prevent the exposed metal from rusting atleast through the winter ?

all you can do it paint it. clean it out really well, use touch up paint for the time being. that should get you through winter or at least until you can do something about it. if there is already any rust in there, then you will need to remove that as well, otherwise it will spread underneath the paint.

Try to find a can of KROWN rust proofing spray. The stuff is AMAZING! People who live in more Northern climates where it snows and salt is used on the roads use rust proofing ****.

KROWN is amazing. I get my car done every year in it as do most people around here.

anyway...have a look for it as you can buy it in a spray can for small areas.

Go to a auto body jobber and get a can of SEM self etching primer. It is designed to adhere to bare metal and offers corrosion protection until you can afford to fix it. Avoid regular primer, as it is porous (sp) and will absorb moisture and the rusting will continue beneath it.

No. Those are a scam based on bogus science.
