Cheap Chromer

I am looking for a good chromer that is cheap? I am tight on money and i want to chrome my valve cover? Instead of chroming it should i paint it chrome? What should i do?

Good luck trying to chrome that out yourself. Chroming is like a 4-5 stage process, you definatly won't be able to do this on your own. You're better off paying a shop to do this for you.

Chrome paint is ghetto fabulous.... it'll look like **** once painted and will probably start to peal within a week because of the heat.

Polishing is a better alternative for something that gets so hot.

poilshing is a good idea but you also must use somekind of protective coating or it will begin to rust. you yhave to sand it all the way down and then use an orbital with a good metal polish and be sure not to touch the cover or your finger prints will appear. tehn get nice high heat clea and spray it. it should look fine.
