Sticky leather?!?!
I have an 04' Si coupe (EX I think for the Americans), and I have the leather steering wheel and leather shifter. Well, it seems like it's ALWAYS sticky. I cleaned it like mad last night, I get in the car this mornign to drive to work and my hands are sticking to it somewhat. Is it the heat? WTF? If I knew this would happen I would have not got the leather. Need suggestions for getting rid of the stickiness.
lol, no. i dont know what you can get your hands on. But i use Automagic's Super Dress - it. See if you can get some lexol leather conditioner. auto parts store should have it. Or some Meguiars #40 works well.

The meguiars stuff works great. You can also go the traditional route and use saddle soap. Yes its what they use on horse saddles, but its also used on leather shoes so you can get it at most department stores or shoe stores (not athletic, dress shoes) The saddle soal is a cleaner and conditioner, makes the leather clean and soft. Its actually probably the best thing you can get.
ya know i just thought of it, if you dont want to grease it up you can just rinse it with water, which ever cleaner you used proabably had a higher PH in it. which makes it feel sticky and attrack dirt more.
