My 03' NBP [56k Warning?]

Took some pictures of my car after using Meguiar's paint cleaner, polish, and wax. My first time using these products on my car. Also took close-ups of the door dings on my car.

What are the differences between the Deep Crystal Wash and the NXT and Goldclass?

I dont know the difference, but after using all of them the NXT gives the best results. Hit me up with a PM sometime TDoan14 and ill show you how to do it with a polisher. You will love the results. From this

to this

I used Clay bar, Meguiars #83, #80, #7 Show Car Glaze, and 2 Coats of NXT wax. All done with my DA polisher and pads. Hit me up man.

The Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner #1 that he used is just a chemical cleaner. It will not work to remove and swirls or scratches. It works nicely if you are just going by hand and dont have the tools for anything heavier. It does make the paint look nicer, it removes some surface contaminates but not as well as a clay bar does.

Thanks. Appreciate the compliments. I like the pic from the front with the blacked out lights. I actually used NHBP paint so it matches the car perfectly. It looks sweet in person with the blue speks in it. Gotta polish and wax again for pics now that i got my new rims.

Yeah i used the PC. If you decide to go with the rotary be very careful. Using a rotary is an aquired skill. It is incredibly difficult and its also very easy to burn and ruin a decent paint job. If you can master the skill then the results with a rotary are great. What products are you using on the PC? What speed setting and method? Just curious, i may be able to offer some insight and tips if you would like. Ive heard the Menerza products are ok, but nothing special.

Im mostly using SSR's. Usually around 5 speed and for 2.5 i usually put alil quick detail so it doesnt dust as quickly letting me work it more. Just basic procedure.. 2x2 area i usally spend i dunno round 2 mins workin in the product. My full procedure so far is wash, clay, paint clean, ssr 2.5 (if needed) ssr 1, Meg #7 ( to be replaced with Vinalla Moose), S100 then a layer of souveran.

I wanna eventually try the Klasse Twins. My g/f bought a new car yesterday and is picking it up today. Specifically asked for dealer not to touch car. I dont want no swirlies. I think i will do the Klasse Twins on her car. Prolly AIO, SGx2, S100 and souveran for speical occasions.

Sounds like you have yourself a good system. If your looking to remove heavy swirls you may want to try megs #83 or the lighter version would be #80. Both offer great results. When you said "and for 2.5 i usually put a lil quick detail" did you mean you spray it on the pad while working it? If so, that could be part of the reason your results take some time. The product should look thin when after working it, if it starts to dust then you have worked it as long as it will go. Then you just apply more product. You should only use one product on one pad. QD is essentially just a very light spray wax. By mixing it in you are compromising the cleaners. If you like it, then great, keep up the good work. I dont know how often you do the full procedure but claying is only necessary about twice a year. If you liked the results of #7 then you would like #81 also, similar formula but easier to remove.

I usually on clay every 4 months. i only use 1 mist of the qd to initally spread the product around the 2x2 area. I find it helps to disperse the product evenly amognst the area which i do at about speed 2.5. By the time i start polishing.. the qd is most likely gone

I do want to try some DACP, in fact i want to try alot of stuff but my wallet suggests otherwise lol.

Maybe after i knock out the porsche i got soon, i'll buy couple bux worth of product. As far as the rotary, i know a guy that would give me some free wreck panels that i could practice on and believe i am very hesitant when it comes to using one. I see myself gettin one in 6 months. MY next to buy equipment is a 1000w dual halogen lighgt stand so i can see the imperfections as im working it.

I like the SSR's b/c they are user friendly but the bottle design gets really freaking aggravating.. it burps up product alot. Too bad you dont live by me. It seems me and u are the ones posting info in the detail forums and i havent ran across anyone else but u that uses PC on 7thgen.

I know man. There really arent that many 7thgen people in my area(most are old people with stock sedans) let alone people who go to the extent i do for car polishing and cleaning. You can pick up a 32oz bottle of DACP for about 20-25 bucks here. Its tricky at first but once you learn at what point it breaks down, your wont believe the results. When i was starting to detail things, i got the PC and a rotary at the same time. I painted a scrap hood myself (my dad had the paint equipment) let it sit for a few weeks, then scratched and marred the crap out of it. After a few weekends of practice i managed to figure out the rotary. Now i use it on spots that are hard to repair or have major defects. I dont know if you ever are on www.meguiarsonline.com but they have some great info on there about products and methods. Very informative. If you have any problem getting meguiars products in your area, let me know. We have an Orielly's warehouse here and they stock everything. I can ship it to you if need be. I can at least check prices, they are usually cheaper than getting it from meguiars.

pick up #7 tho. Do you have AIM is vastly more efficient for talking than a message board.

Ya i feel like detailing right now. Prolly be working on one 2nite. Brand new car.. gonna clay and paint clean to get everything off fresh, then show glaze, then s100 and souveran... no swirls so no polishing.

I hope my g/f knos she's atleast gotta pay for materials for me doing her new car haha.

Oreillys here doesnt carry it in stock either. But if you can get them the part number for it they should be able to order it. Thats what they do here. Its just much faster because the warehouse is just down the street. I have aim, my S/N is isthatcorn but since im at work i dont have it on this computer. You can email me at stephen.silver@thehartford.com while im at work from 8:30-5 m-f and nwcknights@hotmail.com when im at home, or of course AIM.
