2005 Honda Civic EX Coupe Camshaft
Hey everyone I need some help with a cam I just bought off of someone. I have the specs for the regrouped cam vs the crower specs and need to know if I got ripped off or not as I have no idea how to really read these. I need to know which stage it's closest to.
I hope I didn't just get screwed over...I also have springs and these weird small things that I have no idea what they are...
Yes i have springs they look so long lol

It looks basically like a 1.5, halfway between stage 1 and 2. Looks like it came with valve springs and retainers.
If you were unsure, why bother buying it?

Because honestly for $350 it's not bad. Thank you for figuring that out because I don't understand cam numbers. Should I install the springs and retainers? And should I run a tune or would it be safe to just slap it in there? Also I have no idea how to install one in the first place so gonna have to learn how that works. I know timing will most likely need redone, and I know there's a specific way it needs to go in but that's it. I might lower my engine from the bottom a bit so I can actually do the timing again easier. It's a b**** with it all the way in.

Also if the cam comes with new springs and retainers you should probably go ahead and put those on

As above states the springs and retainers are for the D16 Y and Z engines. Do you or anyone know if these are compatible parts with the D17A?

Uts an official D17A2 cam so I'm not worried about thst. Just the springs and retainers are for the D16 Y and Z engines.

Probably. Supertech makes springs and retainers and has both the D16 and D17 as compatible engines. I would assume other aftermarket would be the same.

Stage 1 is the only one that don't need spring/retainers nor a tune. take the opportunity and ask them about what cam you have
