Rep Power: 256 All I will be dyno tuning again!! We did not adjust the valves properly after install of the cam and I plan on getting a highflow cat. Hopefully I should break 110 whp now.

Rep Power: 289 A long long time!
got the new tranny, new clutch, and now new cam.
I was hesitant for a long time, I dont want to buy EMS and
I dont want to put the stock cam back in if it get too rough.
But as far as I know no one has tuned the Stage two cam with a
VAFC2 on this site.
Has anyone tuned a crower stage two cam with a VAFC2 on 7th Gen???

Rep Power: 256 I know its hilarious. That was a huge rude awakening. I ripped my timing belt 2 weeks ago and bent all my exhaust valves. I just got the car back and ran it w/o emanage to see the difference and it felt stronger hehe. The stock ecu did a great job keeping the afr around 14.7 during cruising and 13's during WOT just idle its goes way to rich and stalls. I'm thinking about just keeping the tune for idle and zeroing out everything on the emanage and let the ecu do its thing. Good idea?
And 02blkcivic... realistically u'll probably just need to pull fuel at idle bc you'll run too rich with the cam and it will stall. I went with emanage to adjust ignition timing but the ecu doesn't like that very much when you try to advance. You should be fine with a VAFC2.

Rep Power: 289 Well ya i think its a good idea.
but why not sell the blue box for some cash and buy a VAFC2 and adjust the fuel curve at 500-1000 RPMS (or where the RPMS are for idle)
You are the reason ron I think I can tune and tame the cam with a VAFC2.
mainly because you said it sounds "ok" or "smooth" on the stock ECU.

Rep Power: 256 I've been contemplating this for the past month actually. The car just felt more responsive w/o the emanage. I'm gonna give the tuner another shot and really compare a dyno run with and w/o emanage. Keep us posted with your setup when is estimated time of install?

Rep Power: 256 My buddy that sold me the cam has obx headers and they have much bigger piping than my megan header. But he has an LX and I'm not sure if the LX headers are bigger than the EX.
