2003 civic sir tuner

Purchased a lovely 03 civic SIR, it’s stock other then a intake.
I would like to increase the Rev limiter a tad, looking for recommendations on what steps to take and, or mandatory things to change.
More sporty responsive car with a higher rpm limit of the current 7900

on a side note it’s my daily driver so would like to keep the engine low risk in terms of pushing it to its limit as it only has 114kms

I attached a Pic of my well used civic
Im fairly certain I have a 2.0 L K20A2 correct?

Re: 2003 civic sir tuner

SiR’s have a K20A3, but the stock redlines for those is like 6800rpm. Sounds to me like it’s already been done up or it’s been swapped, most likely with a K20A2.

Cosmetically they look almost identical so I can’t tell you which one you have. Look up K-series engine code location and that’ll tell you.

Re: 2003 civic sir tuner

you will need hondata and look if the engine can take the higher RPM.
not sure why someone would like higher RPM by itself.
