A bit of guidance lol
Hi all I'm new to this forum. I've just joined now. Anyways down to honda buissnes. I've just purchased a 2001 5 door hatch back 1.6 se. And after constantly look in for parts engine swaps etc. All got a bit mind bloogling. So was after some advice or help in the direction of mods engine swaps or any advice. On the matter. As I do know these cars arnt the most sort after. But wanted something a bit different and to put kids in lol. Plus a bit of a challenge. Thanks for reading

I don't know the European market civics real well, but it's entirely dependent on what your budget will be. For the sake of this conversation, I'll compare it to the North American market 7th gens (though that could be completely wrong). Putting a K-series engine in it will run you several thousand dollars while turbocharging will cost roughly the same amount. Keeping it naturally aspirated doesn't do a whole lot. Intake, headers and exhaust will add some power, but not enough for the cost, in my opinion.
If I was in your position, I'd just drive it for what it is: a cheap and reliable daily driver.
If you wouldn't mind, could you please post characters 4, 5, and 6 from your VIN here? That'll help me research. For reference, my civic is an EM2

Engine swap, you'll have to worry about finding/building custom engine mounts, and making sure the engine/transmission will fit. You'll also need the change the ecu, and harness, and may have problems matching the gauge cluster to the harness.
turbo system is easier, but will require a professional to tune the custome fuel map, and a tunabe aftermarket ECU. If you dont upgrade the internals, things can break.
spray, nitro, nos, is the cheapest upfront, and easiest to install, but you need to keep refilling it. You will also need an aftermarket ecu and tune, if you want to add more Nos, since the more nos the more oxygen you have, and more fuel is needed.
